Do You Have Our Free App Yet, myLIBRO?

Just like last year, you are able to log reading and activities for the Summer Reading on our app, myLibro! If you need help or have questions, contact us. And if you don’t have our app yet, it’s free and it’s awesome! Just search for “myLibro” and choose Nortonville Public Library. You’ll log in with your library card number and pin (which we can change here if you don’t remember it).

You’ll have your account, checkouts, and holds, the whole library catalog to search and place holds on, plus our latest facebook posts and events, and the summer reading logs, all in one place! You can even manage other library cards in the app and toggle between accounts.

Summer Reading Details!

2024 Summer Reading Program Details

People of all ages (babies to adults!) are invited to participate in our Summer Reading Program at the Nortonville Public Library. We offer programming and prizes for all ages, including teens (going into the 6th grade or older), babies/toddlers, and adults. Sign ups begin soon, and our kickoff party is Saturday, June 1, 2024.  You must be signed up for summer reading for your reading and activities to count, but you can sign up anytime during the program. Books read after June 1 will count. For every 60 minutes read (or being read to), readers get one entry into the grand prize drawing and pick one item from the prize case. However, we do have additional entry options.

For our readers of all ages that can’t read yet, don’t enjoy reading as much, or have difficulty reading, you can also log activities (educational, outdoor, or library programs). We don’t want to pressure you to read, we want you to enjoy it! Five activities will earn one ticket and one small prize.

We have special prizes for our teens and a chance for them to earn “book bucks” to cash in for smaller prizes, or they may save up for an auction of grand prizes at the end of the summer! Details will be in their registration totes, on our Facebook page, and on our website. Teens are 6th grade to 12th grade (for the 2024-25 school year).

Prizes change continuously and the case is always fully stocked. Readers can continue earning prizes during the program. The grand prize drawing will be held on Friday, July 26 at 4pm; all tickets must be submitted by 3pm on July 26 to qualify. Registration is not required to attend our programming.

ALL EVENTS AND CRAFTS ARE FREE.
