*NEW* Spring Book Sale Personal Shopping

This year, we’d like to be your personal shoppers for the annual book sale on April 27th! Fill out a form to tell us what kinds of books or DVDs you’d like to purchase, and the library staff will hand select them for you. Whether you can’t make it to the sale on April 27, don’t have a lot of time to browse the hundreds of books in the sale, or just like the element of surprise, we’re here for you!

Orders can be picked up the week before the sale during open hours (please give us 24 hours to put your order together) or during the book and plant sale. Payment is due when your order is picked up ($2.50 for each set of 10 books or $10 for 10 DVDs).

Click this link to be taken to the google form. We’ll also have paper copies at the library.

Annual Plant and Book Sale Coming Up!

Save the date: it’s time again for our Annual Plant and Book Sale! This is one of the library’s two big fundraisers for the year, and all money raised goes to this year’s summer reading program.

This year, we’ll have “personal shopping.” Fill out a form (online or on paper) with which categories of books you’d like and how many, and we’ll choose a selection of them for you ahead of time! Details to come.

Of course, we’ll also have a huge selection of books to browse for $0.25 each, DVDs, video games, and puzzles for $1 each, or a “fill a bag” option for $5, and plants! Garden fruits and veggies, annuals, perennials, succulents, and houseplants, all priced low and ready to go home with you or be gifted to someone special. And, if you have more of a black thumb than green, we’ll have crocheted plants as well….MUCH harder to kill those. You will definitely not want to miss this big event at the library!!

Petting Zoo Animals Needed!

Easter is early this year, and we’re on the hunt for sweet farm babies for our petting zoo! The annual Easter weekend petting zoo will be Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 am (immediately following the Nortonville Easter Egg Hunt). Will you have baby chicks, goats, ducks, kittens, or other sweet animals that our community kids could visit with for an hour or so? We are happy to sign community service forms for your high schoolers or 4Hers if needed. Please contact us for details!
